Can you design a black dress? Interested in sustainable design? Here’s an opportunity for Adelaide designers to reach a national platform.

The Spirit of the Black Dress Exhibition 2011 is calling for submissions. Up to ten emerging fashion and textile designers will be showcased in Melbourne during the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Applicants will be assessed on originality, silhouette and texture, and must use sustainable thinking, production and materials. The successful applicant will have their garments professionally photographed and exhibited as part of L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, gain media exposure and promotion in the wider artistic and sustainability communities, meet contemporary emerging fashion and textiles designers and attend the opening gala.
